Boots Advantage card haul

As promised yesterday, I’m sharing with you guys what I bought with my Boots Advantage card points. I’ve mentioned before how I have an insane amount of points, £91 worth to be precise (before I spent some!) and I was planning to save up to £100 then spend them, but they’ve recently been burning a hole in my pocket and I’ve been dying to spend some! I’m sure you guys all have one; if you don’t then I’d definitely recommend getting one! For every £1 you spend you get 4 points and every point is equal to 1p. I've been collecting mine for about four years (crazy I know!) because I spend SO much in Boots. It also doesn't help that there’s a Boots right opposite where I work! I never thought of spending any until recently due to my current beauty obsession that I’m going through at the moment! I finally caved in and used just under £50 worth of points on some bits and bobs.  I still have about £41 left, so I’m going to continue to save those until I find something else I want to buy with them.

On the day of spending them I ran out of primer and I’m nearly out of the foundation I use, so I bought some more of those. I use Witch Anti-Blemish Skin Clearing primer which is £6.99 for 30ml. I don’t really think it clears up my blemishes, I still get spots, but I tend to buy skin care products aimed at spots and blemishes in the hope they’ll sort my skin out! The foundation I bought is Maybelline The Eraser, which I’ve been using for about 6 months now. Before that I used the Dream Matte Mousse which I used for about 4 years, until I got a bit bored and felt the need to experiment a bit! There’s an offer on for buy 1 get a 2nd half price at Boots at the moment, so I bought another foundation, which is the Super Stay 24h non-transfer foundation. I tested this the other day when I was at work and liked how it doesn’t transfer because my makeup always seems to transfer on some item of clothing! My favourite product that I bought with my points is my Yves Saint Laurent Elle gift set. I was undecided for a while between Elle, Belle D’Opium and Parisienne but decided to go for Elle. It comes with some body lotion and shower gel which I probably don’t want to use because they look so pretty! I always buy perfume from Next because it’s generally a tenner a bottle and they always do really nice scents. I’m going to use my YSL extremely sparingly! The box is really cute as well and I’m going to use it to store makeup because it’ll look so pretty on my dressing table!

What’s your best buy using your Boots points? Let me know!

  1. I have been eager to try the eraser foundation for sometime now... I might just have to finally give it a try. I use to use the dream matte too and if you also liked that we probably have comparable skin. Thanks Doll!

  2. I love YSL. I haven't smelt Elle before, I'm only familiar with Opium and Belle Opium. I use my points when I'm super skint, I save them for when I have no money!!! Xx
